My journey has not been easy, but it has been very rewarding. I’ve been working to perfect this Bar-Be-Que recipe for about four years and there have been many attempts that didn’t go so well. I remember someone once told me “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” – Thomas Edison.
I truly believe that life is full of “SECOND CHANCES.”
On August 19, 2010, I received my second chance when Brenda donated her kidney to me. Going through this type of illness changes a person, and life sometimes takes on different meaning. For me, I started taking things a little less seriously and began to enjoy the company and friendships of others in a different way. But most of all, I wanted to learn to love a lot deeper. During all of this I began to recall all the times I spent in the kitchen with my mother and my father. I began to remember all the things I was taught growing up, and started to put them to use in the kitchen.
The proof is in the sauce and many have told me that it’s worth “DRINKING RIGHT OUT THE BOTTLE”!
